International financing sources

Sources of EU funds are implemented through several economic support programs: Horizon 2020, Cosme, IPARD, WB EDIF, etc.

The amount of funding available through EU funds is significant, and the application process itself is most often implemented through intermediaries - competent ministries, financial institutions, etc

HORIZON 2020
Horizon 2020 aims to raise the level of improvement of the European scientific base and ensure the safe flow of world research and thus ensure long-term competitiveness in Europe. This project supports the best ideas and talent development across Europe, provides researchers with access to modern infrastructure for priority research, and makes Europe an attractive location for the world's best researchers. Who can apply: MSME, scientific research institutions, all legal and natural persons in Europe and beyond.

COSME
The goal of the KOZMA Program is to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of European companies, primarily small and medium-sized ones, to encourage entrepreneurial culture, the establishment of new and the growth of existing companies. The program contains measures from four areas: access to finance, market access, improving the business environment and improving entrepreneurship. Beneficiaries of the Program are financial intermediaries (primarily banks), business support organizations, associations of entrepreneurs, bodies of local, regional and national authorities, and indirectly through them and small and medium enterprises from EU member states, and others participating in the Program.

WB EDIF
The objectives of the Program are to establish four complementary financial support mechanisms for SMEs:
  • Enterprise Innovation Fund ENIF - Venture Capital Fund for financing innovative SMEs in the initial phase of development;
  • Enterprise Expansion Fund ENEF - A development capital fund that will focus on already established SMEs with high growth potential;
  • Guarantee Facility GF - which will significantly improve opportunities for SMEs to access bank financing, as well as potentially reduce borrowing costs, by securing a loan portfolio with financial intermediaries;
  • Technical Assistance (TA Facility) - which aims to improve the regulatory framework relevant to innovative SMEs with high growth potential, through support to countries participating in this Program in implementing priority reforms.

IPA II
The Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) is a European Union grant program that provides financial and technical support for the further development of reforms during the enlargement process to candidate and potential candidate countries. The IPA fund develops the capacities of countries during the accession process, which is reflected in the progress of the entire region.

IPARD
The IPARD II PROGRAM of the European Union is an Instrument for pre-accession assistance in the field of rural development for the programming period 2014 to 2020 - achieving European standards and raising competitiveness. The program was approved by both the EU and the Republic of Serbia.
The donation program is implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Directorate for Agrarian Payments

CREATIVE EUROPE
The aim of the Program is to preserve, develop and promote European cultural and linguistic diversity, as well as European cultural heritage. Other goals include supporting cultural organizations to act internationally, promoting the international exchange of artists, works of art and cultural professionals, financially empowering small and medium-sized enterprises in culture, and supporting international cultural policies that foster innovation, audience development and new business models in culture.
