Interest in the Fund's grants is growing from call to call. More than 280 applications for innovative projects were submitted to the announced public program for the Early Development Program and the Science Cooperation Program, and informal teams also had the opportunity to apply. More than 130 applications were submitted by the teams, and funding was approved for a total of 18 teams. The largest number of approved projects came from teams and companies from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Cacak, and the most represented areas of projects are information and communication technologies, natural sciences and mechanical engineering.
Those projects that have a capable team, innovative potential, sustainable competitive advantage and clear development plans, as well as sufficient quality to compete in the international market, have been selected for funding. Selected companies with innovative projects also have the task of responding to the expectation that science and innovation are a key factor in competitiveness and sustainable development, which we as a state and society strive for.
The program of cooperation between science and economy especially speaks about the fact that joint projects of researchers and businessmen in Serbia are not only possible but also a potentially inexhaustible source of the necessary added value as a measure of generating value for society as a whole.
