WORLD SYMPOSIUM ON GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS AND VIRTUAL EXHIBITION AT WHICH PRODUCTS FROM SERBIA WILL BE EXHIBITED

The World Symposium on Geographical Indications will be held online from September 6 to 8, 2021, with the participation of 27 experts from around the world. The symposium is a forum for the exchange of ideas and opinions on issues related to the use and protection of products and services with a protected geographical indication.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in this area through expert discussions. During the symposium, a virtual exhibition of geographical indications from WIPO member countries will be held, at which three geographical indications from Serbia will be presented: "Leskovac homemade ajvar", "Futoški fresh and sauerkraut" and "Fruška Gora linden honey". The events are organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization - WIPO.

This symposium is held every two years and brings together representatives of national institutes, producers of products with a protected geographical indication and experts in the field of protection of geographical indications.
