Cooperation between industry and research organizations represents one of the key mechanisms for enhancing innovation, productivity, and the long-term competitiveness of the economy.

Through their capacities, expertise, and infrastructure, the innovation centers of the University of Belgrade serve as reliable partners to industry in the processes of developing, implementing, and commercializing innovative solutions. The presented innovation centers—of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Chemistry, and Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy—demonstrate a high level of readiness for collaboration with industry, offering a wide range of services, from basic research to the development of prototypes and market-ready technologies. Their work confirms the importance of systematically linking science and industry in order to ensure efficient knowledge and technology transfer.

Further strengthening of cooperation between the research and business sectors will contribute to accelerated innovation development, more efficient use of domestic scientific capacities, and the enhancement of the competitiveness of a knowledge-based national economy.

The aim of this publication is to improve the awareness of industry regarding the available capacities of innovation centers and to encourage the development of concrete forms of cooperation between research organizations and the business sector.
