The possibility of including Italian faculties in higher education in Serbia

The Minister of Mining and Energy in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, visited the Boconi University in Milan, which included her in the edition of the 99 most outstanding women of the world who change the future, who studied at that university.

During the visit, Đedović Handanović, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, spoke with the rector of Bokoni University, Francesco Bilari, and the general director of the prominent educational institution, Riccardo Taranto.

According to her assessment, Bocconi is one of the most influential universities in Europe with a large number of different modern programs, which provides broad perspectives for academic development. Every year, thousands of students from all over Europe apply for admission, which shows how well this university is recognized among students.

I used the opportunity, as she added, to talk to the management of the university in front of the Government of Serbia about the potential opening of the Bokoni chair or program in Serbia, the minister stated.

She pointed out that the Government's goal is to provide students with the opportunity to study in their country and obtain a diploma from one of the most recognized European faculties, among which Boconi is definitely included, while reminding that Serbia and Italy have an Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture and education. since 2009.

Apart from the strong economic and trade relations we have with Italy, we believe it is important to discuss the possibility of including Italian faculties in our higher education, and the Government of Serbia is very interested in the implementation of that initiative, which will have full support because we believe that investing in education is the best an investment for the future, said Đedović Handanović.

The minister also pointed out that the "Leap into the future - Serbia 2027" plan foresees the construction of the BIO4 campus, which will certainly be a regional educational and scientific hub.

At the meeting, it was also noted that there is a significant potential for cooperation within the Bocconi Management MBA program, which is currently ranked among the top three in the world, according to the Financial Times.
