Exhibition of traditional products of the women of the CEBS region at the WIPO headquarters

The mentoring program of the World Intellectual Property Organization - WIPO, for women entrepreneurs, producers of traditional textile products from the region of Central-European and Baltic countries, has been completed.

During 2023, the WIPO regional program of networking and mentoring support in the field of intellectual property for women who make traditional products in the field of textiles took place. The WIPO program, which has been implemented since 2019, last year was intended for women from the Central European and Baltic region, and women from 15 countries participated in it, including the representative from Serbia, Slađana Milojević, owner of the entrepreneurial shop " Nonna Handmade" at the proposal of the Institute for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Serbia.

During the exhibition, "Nonna Handmade" models were also presented, clothing items and accessories with contemporary designed traditional hand-embroidered motifs that rely on the rich cultural heritage of Serbia from the end of the 19th century, made of natural materials. The vision of Nonna Handmade is to preserve part of the intangible cultural heritage through the combination of traditional and contemporary.
