This year's awards recognize outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups that make smart use of the intellectual property rights protection system and contribute positively to society.

Applications are open to business entities operating in all sectors of the economy, as well as those from the creative industries, local and international brands, innovators in green technologies, and for the first time this year, startups, which use the potential of protecting intellectual property rights from the beginning of their entrepreneurial career.

The award winners, selected by an independent jury, will be awarded a personalized mentoring program by WIPO, which will assist them in the strategic use of intellectual property and the achievement of new business goals including fundraising, partnership opportunities and media support.

Small and medium-sized enterprises and startups from any of the 193 WIPO member countries (Serbia is a member country) can self-nominate for this important and prestigious award until March 31, 2024.
