It is estimated that around three hundred million euros will be invested in the first phase of construction. The economy of a country in the 21st century is built from such centers, and the main goal is for Serbia to be an association for the country of innovation and technological development.
At the end of this year, the construction of the Bio4 campus will begin, which will be a bio-economic hub, i.e. a center that will bring together academia, the private sector, startup companies and everything that Serbia needs to become known for innovation and science. The four bio-areas that will be addressed at the BIO4 campus are biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics and biodiversity.
On a total area of 20 hectares, the future camp will be located in the part of the city where the "Torlak" Institute, the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Serbia, and the Faculty of Pharmacy are also located, so it is already a natural environment that will be expanded. The entire Faculty of Biology and Pharmacy, part of the Faculty of Agriculture, Medicine, Technology-Metallurgy and Chemistry will move to the BIO4 campus with their parts, which, as he explains, can contribute to the fields that the campus will deal with. Nine scientific institutes will also be tenants of the campus. There will also be research centers for large and medium-sized companies in order to have access to expert projects.
