In accordance with the Law on the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia and Article 26, paragraph 3 of the Act on Objectives, Manner of Implementation and Financing Conditions of Projects within the Artificial Intelligence Development Program, the Program Evaluation Committee formed a ranking list of project proposals that met both levels. evaluations and which will be funded within the available funds. The Scientific Council of the Science Fund gave a positive opinion on that list, and the Steering Committee adopted the final list of Projects for which funding is approved.
After the evaluation, six projects were approved from the basic (subprogram PRVI_O), and six from the applied research (subprogram PRVI_P).
Within the subprogram PRVI_O, the highest ranked project was evaluated with 94 points, and the last approved for financing carries 79.33 points.
Within the subprogram PRVI_P, the highest ranked project was evaluated with 91 points, and the last approved for financing carries 83.67 points.
The goals of the Program are to encourage excellence and relevance of scientific research in Serbia in the field of artificial intelligence, to encourage the application of scientific research results in the field of artificial intelligence in the development of the Serbian economy, as well as human resources development in the field of artificial intelligence. These projects will be realized in the next two years by research teams from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Kragujevac.
