- Together with the investment in the establishment of the Startup Center Nis, which will become part of NTP Nis, and the construction of the Multipurpose Laboratory Lamella of the Electronic Faculty, the total investment in the development of the innovation ecosystem exceeds 20m EUR - says Randjelovic.
The investor is the Republic of Serbia, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, while the project was managed by the Office for Public Investments of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Funds for the construction were provided from a loan from the European Investment Bank, and the City of Nis provided administrative support and financed the construction of the missing and improvement of the existing infrastructure with its own funds, worth over one million euros.
In April, a public invitation was announced for future tenants of NTP, to which 15 technological development and 20 startup companies responded. The public call is open all the time, and after the cut, another startup company appeared, whose application evaluation procedure is in progress.
- After the process of administrative verification, evaluation of applications and interviews with the expert commission, which consists of the deans of the Faculty of Electronics and Economics and three experienced successful businessmen in the field of IT and development of innovative products, 12 technological development and 19 startups were selected for membership in NTP Nis company - says Randjelovic and adds that the first members of NTP are a large number of startups, but also technological development companies that are already market leaders and stand out with the quality of their products and services, while their goal is to use the next three years in NTP Nis to started or continued to work on the development of innovative projects.
Some of them are the Sentronis Research and Development Center, which develops and manufactures high-tech instruments for measuring magnetic fields and electric currents, and are also known for producing the best 3D teslameter in the world, then VERIEST and VTOOL, which have been designing and developing chips for ten years. .
According to him, NTP Nis was established with the aim of providing infrastructural support to innovation, which within the defined space provides infrastructure and professional services to companies, scientific research and innovation organizations in order to connect them and apply new technologies, create and market new products and services on the market, in order to accelerate the technological development of the country, and based on examples of good international practice in this area.
