The memorandum, which includes cooperation in the field of education, research and knowledge transfer, was signed by the Rector of the University of Defense Brigadier General Boban Đorović and Deputy Director General of NIS Vadim Smirnov, in the presence of Director General of NIS Kirill Tjurdenjeva. On that occasion, Vučević pointed out that the signed document is not only protocol, but that the Ministry of Defense has started a whole series of activities in order to better network with all institutions, establishments and business entities operating in Serbia. We do this in the context of strengthening our defense capacities - with knowledge, material resources and all forms of cooperation that improve the qualifications of our officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers and create better conditions for the functioning of the defense system, he explained. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Oil Industry of Serbia for recognizing this idea and the desire of the Ministry of Defense to expand cooperation, reminding that this is not the first signed agreement between the Ministry of Defense and NIS. This type of cooperation also involves learning the Russian language, which will contribute to improving the knowledge of our officers, he said, and invited other companies to network with the Ministry of Defense. Tjurdenjev stated that NIS, as a socially responsible company, supports universities and students in Serbia through its "Energy of Knowledge" program. The signatories of the Memorandum stated that by establishing partnership relations, they can significantly contribute to the improvement of various aspects of connecting the scientific, educational and professional work of the University of Defense with the business activities of NIS.
