Call for BIOS In-Cube Incubator is open

With the support of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the BioSens Institute launched another type of support for the academic community: the Incubator program to support entrepreneurial teams within scientific research organizations (NIO) - BIOS IN-CUBE.

The call for applications from teams from the academic community, including researchers, teaching staff and students, is open until 9 April 2024.

The mission of the BIOS In-Cube program is to provide support in bridging the gap between research within the academic sector and entrepreneurship. The goal is the development of a culture of innovation and commercialization of scientific results in the direction of realizing wider economic and social benefits, with a focus on the application of advanced solutions in agriculture, food production, ecology and biosystems in general.
The activities of the BIOS In-Cube Incubator in 2024 will be aimed at raising the capacity of innovative startup teams from NIO to conceive, launch and obtain funding for innovative ideas and solutions.
These activities will be realized through:
– A training series with 7 modules (you can view the presentation of the program here)
- Hands-on work on the preparation of an application for financing the commercialization of research on a selected call
- Mentoring support in the field of innovation development business activities
- The possibility of using the resources of the BioSens Institute (laboratories, data)
- Training for the presentation of business ideas to investors (pitch)
In the first series of activities, the right to participate will be achieved by 10 teams with the best evaluated innovative ideas.
