Scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade are developing an antigen test and a drug against Covid-19

Scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, within two projects of the Special Research Program Covid-19, funded by The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, are developing solutions that will help fight against coronavirus, the Science Fund said after a recent visit to research teams and laboratories in which research is conducted.

According to the Science Fund, this center is one of the 200 teams in the world that is working on finding a cure for Covid-19.

It is specified that the CAPSIDO project, under the leadership of SANU correspondent and professor at the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade Tanja Ćirković Veličković, develops a more reliable and faster antigen test for Covid-19 detection, and the SMART Repyrposing project, led by academician and professor at the Faculty of Chemistry in Belgrade Radomir Saicic, who is working on finding a cure for Covid-19.
