Support for innovation development

Belgrade, July 16, 2021 - The Innovation Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, in cooperation with the regional chambers of commerce, the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, gathered today more than 200 interested people across Serbia to encourage innovation development together with the Innovation Fund. On this occasion, the current public call of the Fund for the award of grants through funding programs was presented.

Vidosava Dzagic, Assistant Director, gave an introductory speech in front of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, expressing satisfaction with the organization of such an important event in cooperation with relevant institutions.

Dejan Šuvakov, program manager in the Delegation of the European Union, referred to the programs of financing the European Union and emphasized the importance of commercializing ideas, as well as raising the competitiveness of the Serbian economy. Šuvakov especially pointed out the data of the investments of the European Union, which allocated more than 30 million euros from the Pre-accession funds for the programs of financing innovations through the Innovation Fund.

On behalf of the Fund, Aleksandra Todorović, expert advisor for the implementation of programs and projects, presented three current funding programs: The Mini Grants Program, The Matching Grants Program and Collaborative Grant Scheme Program. Those interested had the opportunity to discuss the topic of proposals and how to apply for the Fund's programs.

From the point of view of the users of the Fund's funds, the representative of the B2Bee company, Luka Radovanović, one of the founders of the company, shared his experience. Radovanović encouraged future applicants, referring to all segments of the application process - which, although they require patience - bring exceptional results.
