The first master's study programs in the field of artificial intelligence will start on October 1 at the faculties in Serbia.

These are the Faculty of Technical Sciences and Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Novi Sad, the University of Kragujevac and the Faculty of Science in Nis.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mariana Dukić Mijatović, said that it was the result of the activities that the relevant ministry had during the last year, when a public invitation was announced. She invited all faculties that implement study programs in the field of computer science, electrical engineering and computer engineering, both in undergraduate and master studies, to respond to the public invitation, which was announced this year as well, since three million dinars were set aside for accreditation of two masters. study program in the field of artificial intelligence.

The deadline is September 24.

Also, the youngest institute in Serbia for the field of artificial intelligence was founded, which started working in Novi Sad.

At the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Novi Sad, as of October 1, 25 students should be enrolled in the master's degree in the field of artificial intelligence, 20 of which will be on a budget. This program was created as a result of cooperation between two departments of the department, namely the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, and contains a comprehensive overview of artificial intelligence, starting with the mathematical basis, techniques and algorithms. The program will also be based on the field of machine learning, which is one of the subfields of artificial intelligence. Special subjects are provided that deal with applications in the field of medicine, biology, processing of sound or speech signals.
