The Opening of a Humanoid Robot Factory in Šabac: Serbia’s Leap into the Future

In the presence of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the first humanoid robot factory in Serbia and the region was opened today in Šabac, as part of an investment by the Chinese company Minth, with €20 million invested in the first phase.

During his tour of the factory, the President was presented with various types of robots and their capabilities, including small robots equipped with software programmed to assist with learning.

Qin highlighted that the company Minth is satisfied with its investment in Serbia, having successfully achieved all of its objectives over the past seven to eight years.

He said that the company has now opened an assembly line for the production of humanoid robots, but plans to expand its product portfolio to include unmanned aerial vehicles and the most advanced and sophisticated batteries.

“On this occasion, we will open a new industrial park in Inđija in mid-September, where we will produce robotic machines, unmanned aerial vehicles and batteries,” Qin announced.

According to him, Minth is operating successfully in Serbia and its products are already present on the European market, with the expectation that over the next five to eight years it will realize a shared vision of making Serbia a European leader in new technologies and artificial intelligence.

The investment in the first phase of the robotic production base in Šabac amounts to €20 million, while the construction of the Industrial Robotics Park in Inđija is planned for the coming period, with a total planned investment of €200 million.

Upon completion of the project, the planned annual production capacity will reach up to 20,000 humanoid robots and robotic dogs, intended for markets across Europe and around the world.
