The ranking of researchers was carried out in accordance with their academic titles, as well as within the relevant scientific groups. The ranking procedure was conducted based on relevant indicators of scientific productivity, in line with the applicable regulatory framework governing the system of funding scientific research activities.
According to the published final ranking list, researchers who are among the top 10% based on the criterion of scientific excellence are entitled to payment based on a corrective coefficient for excellence in scientific research work, which will be implemented over a period of two years, i.e., during 2026 and 2027.
The introduction of the corrective coefficient for excellence represents an affirmative measure to support researchers who achieve outstanding scientific results, with the aim of further encouraging scientific productivity, research quality, and the international visibility of scientific work.
Through the implementation of this process, the Ministry continues to systematically support and promote the development and improvement of the scientific community’s results, as well as to strengthen the capacities of scientific research organizations in the Republic of Serbia.
