The Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Academician Bela Balint, visited today the construction site of the future Regional Industrial and Technological Park in Kruševac, which will be the fifth of its kind in Serbia and will represent a significant step towards improving the infrastructure to support innovation in this city.

Balint pointed out that Kruševac is well on its way to becoming one of the leading industrial centers in the country, as the construction of the aforementioned park will significantly contribute to the technological development of the city – from improving the automation process to the application of artificial intelligence.

Project coordinator Martina Manojlović stated that 60 percent of the park has been completed.

The industrial and technological park, also called the “Small Factory of Great Entrepreneurs”, is being built on the site of the former administrative building of the Chemical Industry “Župa” in Dedina.

It will occupy an area of 1.6 hectares, which will house the main building, conference rooms and 39 business modules intended for the work of technologically and research-oriented companies for more than 200 users.

In the second part, 14 production modules of 280 square meters each are planned, while the administrative building itself covers 11,000 square meters.

The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation is implementing this project in cooperation with the City and partners from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the total investment with equipment amounts to 16.5 million euros.
