The Protocol harmonizes the manner of cooperation, based on the common interest in strengthening scientific cooperation and the constant need for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and publications necessary for the development of scientific research activities.

The goal of signing the Protocol is to continue and improve the existing scientific research cooperation and to open up new opportunities in the planning and implementation of scientific research activities in areas of importance for the security, defense and overall development of our country.

The signing of the Protocol, among other things, provides the opportunity to launch new scientific programs in areas of importance for defense and security within the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
