The delegations agreed that cooperation should begin within existing platforms, with the initiative to prepare a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry and the Higher Education Agency of Pakistan.

Gnjatović presented the Serbian scientific research and innovation ecosystem, highlighting significant investments in the past decade.

In the past decade, Serbia has invested significant resources in the development of the country's scientific and innovation ecosystem - from the construction of science and technology parks and technology transfer centers, to support for the startup ecosystem and the development of entrepreneurship, she said.

In her opinion, the construction of the BIO4 campus, as the largest investment in Serbian science, represents a new framework for the development of biotechnology, biomedicine and artificial intelligence in our country.

As she pointed out, Serbia has prominent scientists, especially in the fields of biotechnology and biomedicine, and actively participates in numerous international projects, such as SAGE.

Gnjatović recalled that Serbia and Pakistan already have common platforms through which it is possible to establish cooperation – primarily ICGEB, UNESCO and Horizon 2020.

It was proposed that cooperation between the two countries be established in the field of artificial intelligence application, she said, assessing that Serbia has experience and knowledge, and Pakistan has exceptional human resources.

The Pakistani delegation emphasized that their country has significant scientific research capacities, especially in the fields of engineering and biomedicine, and that their scientists are recognized at the international level.

The Youth Program at the Prime Minister's Office was particularly highlighted.

Hussain pointed out that Pakistan has over 60 million young people, and added that within the framework of this program, numerous initiatives have already been implemented and significant funds have been allocated to support research, development and international cooperation.

The establishment of a joint research center, the establishment of an academic exchange program for students and researchers, as well as the appointment of persons responsible for coordinating further activities, were proposed.
