The program was initiated and prepared under the circumstances of the state of emergency declared in the Republic of Serbia on the occasion of the COVID - 19 pandemic. Having in mind the importance of involving the scientific community, this Program has a special strategic significance for the Republic of Serbia and its citizens.
The total budget of the Program is € 2,000,000. The program is financed from a World Bank loan through the Innovation Acceleration and Entrepreneurship Growth Project in the Republic of Serbia (SAIGE).
The total budget of all received project proposals is € 17.83M. Hajmanji's proposed project budget is € 12,000, with a maximum of € 500,000.
Project proposals came from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Kosovska Mitrovica, Nis, Subotica, Cacak, Novi Pazar, Leposavic, and in addition to accredited scientific research organizations from Serbia, foreign researchers and diasporas from 20 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Australia also participate in consortia. .
In the field of biomedicine, 60 projects were submitted, in the field of biomedical engineering and information technologies - 21, in the field of economic, sociological, psychological research and management of complex systems - 44, and in other fields - 3 projects.
An administrative check of all received project proposals is in progress, after which the proposals that meet the requirements of the program will be sent for evaluation. The Science Fund will inform the researchers about the next steps and the results of the evaluation by e-mail, as well as on the official website and networks of the Science Fund.
