At the Center for Bioengineering of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences in Kragujevac they produce protective visors intended for healthcare professionals

Scientists, engineers and researchers at the Center for Bioengineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kragujevac make protective visors designed for healthcare professionals who are in direct contact with patients infected with the coronary virus.

Visors are donated to medical staff not only in Kragujevac, but also in all places where a need has arisen across our country. The team consists of fifteen people who make safety visors every day.

Visors can be used multiple times, only need to be disinfected when removed after use.

A statement from the University of Kragujevac said the Center's contribution was to prevent the spread of the virus corona among health workers and to help combat the epidemic.

Employees of the Center for Bioengineering in Kragujevac have also contacted private industrial companies that can easily build tools for making these visors, thus increasing their production to thousands more on a daily basis.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has strongly supported this extremely good initiative by our researchers from the Center for Bioengineering, Faculty of Engineering. We will continue to do so in the coming period, both in this case and in all good ideas that can contribute to the challenge facing our entire society, said Prof. Dr. Vladimir Popovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.
