Three prototype alternative respirators made in Kragujevac

To contribute to the COVID-19 virus, a team of engineers from the Institute for Materials and Welding (IMW) of the MIND Group and the Faculty of Engineering in Kragujevac made three prototype alternative respirators.

An alternative respirator supplies patients with oxygen and based on the set parameters, the ambu balloon works independently.
These are very simple devices that can assist a large number of patients in critical situations. Therefore, the device can completely replace medical personnel by manually pumping oxygen through an ambu balloon.

This type of medical device is designed to replace the medical staff in supplying the patient with oxygen, but also to facilitate monitoring over precisely entered parameters.

The primary idea was to develop a simple device that could save someone's life in a situation where a conventional respirator was not available.

When it comes to the development of this prototype, it is expected that over a period of time we can expect its greater development and plugging of additional features and modules, which will make the device "smart". A team of experts is working hard to make this happen.
