First call for financing innovations opened - agROBOfood project

The first call for financing innovative experiments within the European project "agROBOfood" has been opened. The call lasts until May 31, 2020, and the start of implementation for selected projects is September 2020.
The first open call offers a total of € 2.65 million (from 300,000 to 500,000 per consortium) and is targeted at SMEs across Europe that need the resources as well as technical support to develop their innovative robotics solutions, applicable in agri-food sector.

The BioSens Institute, in cooperation with 38 partners from Europe, through the agROBOfood project, encourages the construction of a strong European ecosystem that will enable the effective application of robotic technologies in the agri-food sector.

The agROBOfood project (funded through the European Union Horizon 2020 program) connects the world of robotics, agriculture, research, science, development and business.

Within the project, seven initial innovative experiments with different focus will be realized.

For example, the development of a robotic arm for collecting soil samples, the improvement of the system for automatic picking of vegetables in greenhouses, the introduction of robots for work at low temperatures and the like.

The experiments will be monitored by a network of Digital Innovation Hubs established in 7 regional centers (for our region it is the BioSense Institute) which will help the experiments reach technical and market maturity.

You can find more details about the project and the application process on the official website, and send additional questions to the e-mail stasa.stojkov@biosense.rs.
